What could happen if, with our 46 years of experience, we set out to build a bike made for the pure simple pleasure of pedaling? The Aethos was created to walk the perfect line between exceptional ride quality, extreme lightness and unparalleled style, and the Aethos Comp is no exception.
The Shimano 105 electronic gear shifter is easy to maintain, the hydraulic disc brakes are powerful and the DT R 470 Disc wheels are very resistant; a tireless workhorse for your rides.
The Aethos frame was designed to create the perfect combination of ride quality, lightness and style - to be able to accelerate even on steep climbs, descend the most technical descents and to be comfortable even on long Sunday rides. But you may ask, how did we do it? We've re-invented the traditional road bike shape of the past, changing it slightly to optimize stiffness and balance, without compromising weight or strength. The Aethos is more than a new bike, it's the start of a new generation.
A very light frame is useless if the driving characteristics do not inspire confidence. That's why for the Aethos we looked for the perfect mix of front and rear stiffness in relation to ride quality. By studying the flexibility and every little detail of carbon fibers, we discovered a lot about how forces pass through the frame. A few pedal strokes will be enough for you to realize that the Aethos represents a new standard of driving.
Every detail, from the gear support to the expander on the stem, has been designed for style, weight and resistance. We've also included the new Alpinist carbon fiber seatpost to shave off additional weight and optimize riding characteristics - all for perfect handling.
